Wine List

Dish Wine List

Our philosophy on wine is simple: it should be fun and easy and make food taste better. As the author of Passion for Wine published by Hastings House, I have a good knowledge of wine. Still, I trust the ratings of rags like the Wine Enthusiast and Wine Spectator.

Our wine list currently has nineteen wines rated 90 or above, and ten more rated 87-88. Since only about 1,000 wines out of over 350,000 receive ratings at 90 or better each year, we believe these are good selections. Plus, most of our wines are less than $25.

We also try to find vintage selections, and often have wines on the list that range from 1997 to 2003. Most wine lists in Sandpoint offer Ports and even Sherries. We also offer Late Harvest wines of balance and acidity for après dinner. We have six half bottle selections, and seventeen wines by the glass.

Remember, you can buy any of the wines on our list retail, for take out or drive-through for 25% off our wine list price

So have fun, and enjoy a bottle of wine that won’t break the bank. Wine at Dish Home Cooking is fun, entertaining, and educational.
